UPLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: The monthly meeting of Hazratpur Union Parishad under Keraniganj Upazila was held on the date 19.5.2022 Union Parishad Member of Ms Razia Akhter said that we are holding regular meetings of the Union Legal Aid Committee and those from our union who are always in need are going to the District Legal Aid Office to provide legal assistance to those for whom we are cooperating. If the Upazila Parishad had the help desk of Legal Aid then we and the helpless poor people who came to us could go directly to the Upazila and get legal services. Miking in the neighborhoods and increasing publicity about legal services for legal aid so that the general public will be more aware.
Courtyard meeting: At the courtyard meeting held on the date 15.05.2022 Local Member Mr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Amta union under Dhamrai Upazila said the government has taken a good initiative for the people and the government is providing free legal aid. It takes a long time for any case to be settled or settled in another court but legal aid cases are settled in another court very quickly. From today's meeting we learned about Legal Aid issues. Those of us who are here can contact Legal Aid if we encounter any such issues.
